Tygerberg Engine Rebuilders was established in 1991 by husband and wife team, Thys and Belinda van Eck. After a humble beginning using a double garage at our home, we moved into a 100 m 2 workshop within 3 months from start. 3 Months later we acquired an extra 200 m 2 just to run out of space again a year later. After another move we decided in 1995 to build our own factory to suit our needs. Tygerberg Engine Rebuilders is an accredited and grade R.M.I (Retail Motor Industry) and E.R.A (Engine Remanufactures Association) workshop. We are also only 1 of 3 Federal Mogul Approved workshops in the Western Cape.

All the machines are operated by highly trained and skilled technicians, supervised by the owners. This building is situated at 21 Linton Close, Beaconpark, Beaconvale. This factory is equipped with state of the art equipment worth millions.

The owner Thys van Eck, has over thirty years experience as a fully qualified Automotive Machinist and Fitter, and will gladly assist in all your engineering and vehicle service and repair needs.
